Our take on the Mondawe 2500W-2800W Portable Inverter Generator

The Mondawe is a gasoline portable inverter generator rated 2500W running and 2800W peak, with a 6-gallon tank. The inverter design gives cleaner power for sensitive electronics like laptops and phones, and the large tank points to long run times between fill-ups. At $279.99 at eBay as of November 5, 2026, it is the lowest of the three new prices tracked, so it sits at the bottom of its recent range.

Pros
  • Inverter output is safe for sensitive electronics
  • 2800W peak handles a fridge or small power tools at startup
  • 6-gallon tank means fewer refuels on long outages
  • 2500W running output covers lights, router, fan and TV
  • Lowest tracked new price at $279.99
Cons
  • Gasoline only, so no propane or dual-fuel option
  • No electric start listed; expect a pull cord
  • Heavier and bulkier than small 2000W-class units
  • Noise and emissions rule it out for indoor use
  • Brand support and parts are less established than Honda or Yamaha

Questions and answers

Is 2500W enough to run a refrigerator?
Yes for most fridges, which draw 100 to 200W running but need 800 to 1200W at startup. The 2800W peak covers that surge, but avoid running a fridge and a large power tool at the same time.
How long will a 6-gallon tank last?
Expect roughly 10 to 14 hours at half load, depending on load and conditions. A 6-gallon tank is large for this class, so it should carry you through an overnight outage without refueling.
Can it power a CPAP or laptop safely?
Yes. Inverter generators produce clean, stable power, which is what medical devices and laptops need. Check your device's wattage and keep total load under 2500W running.
Is this a good price?
$279.99 at eBay as of November 5, 2026 is the lowest of the three new prices tracked. That is a low entry point for an inverter unit with a 6-gallon tank.
Does it come with a parallel cable for two units?
Parallel capability is not listed, so do not count on linking two units. If you need more power, size up to a single larger generator instead.
Where is the Mondawe 2500W-2800W Portable Inverter Generator cheapest?
At Macy's, for $374.00, as of our latest check.
Where can I buy the Mondawe 2500W-2800W Portable Inverter Generator?
