Is the Ryobi RYi4022X enough to run a refrigerator?

Yes. A typical fridge draws well under 1,000 running watts, and the 4,000 starting watts cover its compressor surge. It can run a fridge plus lights and a fan at the same time.

Can it power a whole house?

No. With 3,400 running watts and only 120V output, it suits essentials like a fridge, furnace fan, lights and electronics, not central AC, a dryer or a 240V well pump.

Ryobi rates it at 67 dB, and auto idle lowers that at light loads. Expect it to get louder when a large motor starts.

What comes in the box?

The generator, a wheel kit for moving it, and a tool kit for setup. Fuel and oil are not included.

When is the price lowest?

Generator prices tend to drop around spring storm-season sales and Black Friday. The best new price was $499.99 at eBay as of November 5, 2026.
