Is the Vornado MVH worth it at $74.99?

At $74.99 at Amazon as of November 8, 2026, it is a reasonable price for a 1,500-watt Vornado with vortex airflow and a safety listing. It makes sense if you want a small, portable supplemental heater rather than whole-room heating.

How much space will it heat?

It is a 1,500-watt forced-air heater, so treat it as a supplemental unit for a bedroom, office, or small living area. It will not keep a large open floor warm on its own.

Does it have a thermostat?

No. It has three heat settings and button controls, but no set-temperature thermostat, so you adjust output by hand.

Can I plug it into a standard outlet?

It draws 1,500 watts at 120 volts, about 12.5 amps, so plug it directly into a wall outlet on a circuit that can carry that load. Avoid power strips and extension cords.

The heater comes with an owner's guide. No remote or extra accessories are included.

Space heaters usually dip in price outside the cold months and during fall and winter sales events. Check the price history before buying in season.

Our take on the MVH Vortex Space Heater

The Vornado MVH is a small 1,500-watt forced-air space heater that uses Vornado's vortex airflow to push heated air across a room rather than just warming the spot in front of it. It has three heat settings, a simple button control, automatic shutoff, and an NRTL safety listing, and it weighs about 4 lb with a 10.6-inch height. The best new price is $74.99 at Amazon as of November 8, 2026, with three stores pricing it new.
