Is the Lasko CW210 worth it?

For a small room up to 300 sq ft, it offers quiet heat, a remote and a timer at a low price. If you need fast heat for a large space, a standard fan-forced heater moves more air.

How much does it cost to run?

At 1500 watts it uses about 1.5 kWh per hour on high. At a typical US rate of about 15 cents per kWh, that is roughly 22 cents an hour.

Does it need a special outlet?

It runs on standard 120-volt power but draws 12.5 amps, so plug it into a dedicated outlet and avoid sharing the circuit with other high-draw appliances.

What comes in the box?

The heater, a remote control and the washable filter. Batteries for the remote may not be included.

Can it be used in a bathroom?

No. It is rated for indoor use in dry rooms, not bathrooms or other damp areas.

Space heaters usually drop in price in early fall before the heating season and again in late winter. The current $62.55 at Walmart is already near the low end.
