Our take on the National Tree Company Jersey Fraser Fir Slim Tree with Clear Lights

A slim, pre-lit artificial Fraser fir from National Tree Company, sold with 700 clear lights and rated for outdoor use. The narrow profile suits hallways, porches and small rooms where a full-width tree won't fit. The best new price is $492.99 at Staples as of November 5, 2026, with 7 stores listing it new. That is a premium price for a slim pre-lit tree, so compare it against similar lit firs before buying.

Questions and answers

Is this tree worth $492.99?
It is a convenience buy: you pay for pre-strung lights, an outdoor rating and a slim shape. If you only need an indoor tree, a cheaper unlit slim fir will do the same job.
Can it really go outdoors?
National Tree Company rates it for outdoor use, but the lights and wiring are not weatherproof to the same degree as the branches. Put it under a porch roof or overhang, not in open rain.
How wide is a slim tree like this?
Slim firs are built to run roughly half the width of a full tree of the same height. Measure your floor space and doorway before ordering, since height and width vary by size.
What comes in the box?
The tree sections with the 700 clear lights pre-attached, plus a stand. You assemble the sections and connect the light plugs; no separate light strings are needed.
When is it cheapest?
Pre-lit trees usually drop after Christmas and in early fall clearance. As of November 5, 2026 the best new price is $492.99 at Staples.
Where is the National Tree Company Jersey Fraser Fir Slim Tree with Clear Lights cheapest?
At Staples, for $492.99, 16% under what the other stores charge, as of our latest check.
