Is the Capsule 3 Laser bright enough for a living room?

At 300 ANSI lumens it is best in a dark or heavily dimmed room. In daylight or with lamps on, the image will look washed out. For a bright room, a higher-lumen home projector is the better fit.

How big an image can it throw?

It handles 40 to 120 inches diagonal at a 1.2:1 throw ratio. There is no zoom, so you size the image by moving the projector closer or farther from the wall.

How long does the battery last?

About 2.5 hours in Eco mode, which covers most films but not a double feature. Expect less in brighter modes, and plan on plugging in for long sessions.

Does it need a streaming stick?

It has its own smart system and Bluetooth 5.1, so you can stream without a stick. A stick is still useful if you want a specific app or ecosystem.

How does it compare with the LED Capsule 3?

The laser version is brighter and rated for 30,000 hours, and it keeps the same small body. The trade-off is price; the LED model costs less but is dimmer.

Our take on the NEBULA Capsule 3 Laser

The Nebula Capsule 3 Laser is a soda-can-sized portable projector with a 1080p laser light source rated for 30,000 hours. It throws a 40- to 120-inch image at a 1.2:1 throw ratio, runs on battery for about 2.5 hours in Eco mode, and weighs 0.9 kg. Its 300 ANSI lumens is modest, so it suits dim rooms more than daylight.
