Our take on the Nemo Disco Endless Promise Sleeping Bag

The Nemo Disco Endless Promise is a 30°F down backpacking bag built around Nemo's Classic Spoon shape, which is wider at the elbows and knees so side sleepers can bend their legs without compressing the insulation. It uses 650-fill RDS-certified down, a water-resistant PET shell, Thermo Gills for venting on warmer nights, and a draft collar and pillow pocket. Packed weight is 2 lb 4 oz in Regular, and the Long fits sleepers up to 6'6". The best new price is $239.20 at Sports Basement as of November 3, 2026, with two stores listing it new; that sits near the low end for a bag of this spec, though it is a premium price against basic 30°F synthetic bags.

Pros
  • Spoon shape gives real room at elbows and knees
  • 650-fill RDS down packs small for the warmth
  • Thermo Gills vent heat without opening the whole bag
  • Draft collar and pillow pocket add comfort
  • Endless Promise program takes the bag back for recycling
Cons
  • 2 lb 4 oz is not ultralight for a 30°F down bag
  • 650 fill power is lower than premium 800+ bags
  • PET shell feels less soft than nylon
  • 30°F rating suits mild nights, not deep winter
  • Premium price versus synthetic 30°F bags

Questions and answers

Is the Nemo Disco worth $239.20?

Does it fit tall sleepers?

What comes in the box?
