Our take on the Nicpro 1.5 Gallon Epoxy Resin Kit for Table Top

The Nicpro 1.5 Gallon Epoxy Resin Kit is a two-part, crystal-clear casting and coating resin sold as a kit with resin and hardener. It cures to a high-gloss finish in about 8 hours and includes UV stabilizers to slow yellowing, which matters for table tops and floral preservation. It is aimed at craft and small-furniture work: table tops, coasters, molds, jewelry and acrylic pours. At $65.99 at Walmart as of November 3, 2026, it is the only new price listed, so there is no recent range to compare against.

Pros
  • Two-part kit includes resin and hardener
  • UV stabilizers slow yellowing on clear pours

  • 8-hour cure is slower than fast-set casting resins

Questions and answers

Is the Nicpro 1.5 gallon kit worth it for a table top?
For a single small table top or several craft projects, one kit at $65.99 covers a lot of surface. Check your pour thickness against the kit's instructions, since thick single pours can overheat.
How much area does 1.5 gallons cover?
Coverage depends on pour thickness. At roughly 1/8 inch, 1.5 gallons covers about 15 to 16 square feet; thinner seal coats go further and thicker pours cover less.
How long until it cures?
The listed curing time is about 8 hours by air cure. Full hardness and final gloss usually develop over a few days, so avoid heavy use early.
Does it yellow over time?
It contains UV stabilizers that slow yellowing, which helps on clear table tops and floral pieces. No epoxy is fully immune, so keep finished pieces out of direct sun.
What is in the box?
It is a two-part kit with resin and hardener in the 1.5 gallon total volume. Mixing cups, sticks and other tools are typically not included, so plan on your own supplies.
When is it cheapest?
The only new price listed is $65.99 at Walmart as of November 3, 2026. With one seller, watch for seasonal craft sales rather than expecting a broad price war.
