Questions and answers

Is $29.99 a good price for this trash can?
It is the best new price among the 4 stores that carry it, at $29.99 at Target as of November 5, 2026. Small sensor cans often list higher, so this is a reasonable entry price.
Does it need special batteries?
It runs on standard batteries, so no special order is needed. Keep spares on hand, since a weak battery is the usual cause of a slow or unresponsive lid.
What size trash bags fit?
Use 2.6-gallon liners or small grocery bags. Standard kitchen bags will be far too large.
Will it work in a kitchen?
It is too small for daily kitchen waste. It suits bathrooms, bedrooms and offices where trash volume is low.
How tall is it?
It stands 14.65 inches high, low enough to fit under most desks and many bathroom counters.
Is the lid really touchless?
Yes, a motion sensor opens the lid when your hand comes near. You can still lift it by hand if the batteries run out.
