Is the Switch 2 worth it over the original Switch?

If you want a bigger 1080p screen, 4K TV output, more storage and steadier performance, yes. Owners of an original Switch who mostly play handheld may want to weigh the LCD screen and battery life first.

Does it play original Switch games?

Yes, most Switch 1 games run on it, and some get performance boosts. A few titles have compatibility caveats, so check the specific game before buying.

What is in this bundle?

The bundle includes the Switch 2 console with 256GB storage and a cleaning kit. No game is included.

Can I expand the storage?

Yes. Internal storage is 256GB and can be expanded with a microSD card, which is useful given the size of current games.

Do I need a camera for GameChat?

Only for video chat. Voice chat and screen sharing work without one; video needs a compatible USB-C camera sold separately.

When is the best time to buy?

Nintendo hardware discounts are rare, so the lowest price usually comes from comparing the 3 stores listing it new rather than waiting for a big sale.
