Is the Nostalgia snow cone maker worth it?

At $16.90 at eBay as of November 4, 2026, it is a low-cost way to make snow cones at home for parties and summer afternoons. Expect one small cone at a time, so it suits casual use more than a busy concession stand.

What kind of ice does it take?

It uses regular-sized ice cubes, not blocks. Smaller cubes shave more smoothly and put less strain on the motor.

How many snow cones can it make at once?

One 8 oz snow cone at a time. The included reusable plastic cup is the only cup in the box, so buy extras for a party.

Does it come with syrup or cups?

It includes one 8 oz reusable plastic cup. Syrup and flavoring are sold separately.

Is it safe for kids to use?

It has a safety switch built into the shaving mechanism and suction-cup feet to keep it steady. An adult should still handle loading the ice and supervise use.

When is the best time to buy it?

Prices on this model are usually lowest outside summer party season and around back-to-school sales. The current best new price is $16.90 at eBay as of November 4, 2026.
