Is the Bronco Pro worth it over the standard Bronco?

The Pro adds cooking space, a larger fuel basket and bigger wheels. If you cook for crowds or want longer unattended sessions, it is the better pick; for small households the standard Bronco does the same job for less.

How much charcoal does it use?

Expect a full basket to run 8 to 12 hours at smoking temperatures. Long brisket cooks may need a top-up, so buy lump or briquettes in bulk.

Can it be used as a regular grill?

Yes. With the diffuser plate out and the grate in the upper position, it works as a charcoal grill for burgers and steaks.

It is a full-size drum smoker on wagon wheels, roughly waist-high and wide enough to need a few feet of patio space. Check doorways before wheeling it through.

The smoker, cooking grates, hanging racks, charcoal basket, diffuser plate and wheels. It ships unassembled and takes about an hour or two to build.

Drum smokers usually drop around spring grilling sales and end-of-season clearance. At $729.99 at Walmart as of November 7, 2026, it is at the top of its recent range, so waiting for a holiday sale may pay off.
