Is the Olympus 8mm f1.8 Fisheye worth it?

If you want a fast fisheye for night skies, close distortion shots or creative wide work on Micro Four Thirds, it is the brightest option and very sharp. For general wide-angle shooting, a rectilinear lens is more useful.

Does it autofocus on all Micro Four Thirds cameras?

Yes. It is a Micro Four Thirds mount lens with autofocus, and it works on Olympus and Panasonic M43 bodies. Weather sealing only pairs with a sealed body.

How close can it focus?

Minimum focus is 12 cm (4.72 inches), giving 0.2x magnification. That lets you put subjects very close to the front element for dramatic near-far compositions.

Is it the same as the 9mm f8 body cap lens?

No. The 8mm f1.8 PRO is a full metal, weather-sealed autofocus lens with a much brighter aperture and better optics. The 9mm f8 is a tiny fixed-aperture body cap lens.

Expect the lens, front and rear caps, and instructions. A case and hood are not standard with this lens, so check the listing before buying.
