Our take on the Onix Evoke Premier Carbon Fiber Light Weight Pickleball Paddle

The Onix Evoke Premier is a wide-body pickleball paddle with a 16-inch length and 8-inch width, a fiberglass face and a soft polypropylene core. The wide face gives a large sweet spot and the soft core favors control and touch over raw power. Its best new price is $159.99 at JCPenney as of November 8, 2026, and only one store lists it new, so there is little price competition to shop around.

Questions and answers

Is the Onix Evoke Premier good for beginners?: Yes. The wide face and soft core make it forgiving and easy to control, which suits newer players learning placement.
Does it have enough power for advanced players?: It leans toward control. Hard hitters who want drive and serve power may prefer a paddle with a harder face or thicker core.
What are the paddle's dimensions?: It is 16 inches long and 8 inches wide, with a fiberglass face and a soft polypropylene core.
Is $159.99 a good price?: Only one store lists it new at $159.99 as of November 8, 2026, so there is no cheaper new listing to compare against. Check the used and prior-generation market if you want to spend less.
What is in the box?: The paddle is typically sold on its own. Check the listing for whether a cover or grip tape is included.
When is it cheapest?: With a single new listing at $159.99, discounts are unlikely unless that store runs a sale. Watch for seasonal promotions and clearance on older Evoke models.
Where is the Onix Evoke Premier Carbon Fiber Light Weight Pickleball Paddle cheapest?: At JCPenney, for $159.99, as of our latest check.
