What do I need to use it?

A compatible iPad, the Osmo base with reflector, and the free Osmo apps. The kit supplies the game pieces and play cards.

Osmo targets preschool, roughly ages 3 to 5. Older kids will outgrow the shapes and colors games quickly.

Is it worth it over newer Osmo math kits?

Newer Osmo sets add numbers and counting beyond shapes and colors. Buy this one only if you find it clearly cheaper and your child is just starting.

Does it include a warranty?

No written warranty is listed for this kit. Check the store's return policy before buying.

Which iPads work with it?

Compatibility depends on the Osmo base generation and current app requirements. Confirm your iPad model on Osmo's compatibility list before ordering.

The kit includes the game pieces and play cards for six shape and color games. The iPad and base are not included unless a bundle says so.

Our take on the Osmo Early Math Learning Kit for iPad

The Osmo Early Math Learning Kit is a hands-on iPad add-on that teaches preschoolers shapes and colors through six physical-to-digital games. A base reflector mirrors the tabletop pieces into the iPad camera, so kids move real tiles and the screen responds. It needs an iPad and the free Osmo apps to work. The kit is an older Osmo release, so check current pricing against newer Osmo math sets before buying.
