Questions and answers

Is the Oster Eddington santoku set worth it?
At $24.99 at Best Buy as of November 5, 2026, it is a low-cost way to get a stainless santoku. Expect budget-knife performance: fine for everyday prep, not a substitute for a forged chef's knife.
Is it dishwasher safe?
No. Oster lists hand wash only, so wash and dry it by hand to keep the edge and finish in shape.
What is in the two-piece set?
A stainless steel santoku knife with a straight edge and a ridged stainless steel handle. Check the listing for the blade length, since it is not stated in the specs.
Does it have a granton edge?
No. The blade edge is straight, not scalloped, so thin slices of wet foods like cucumber may cling to the blade.
How does it compare with a forged chef's knife?
It costs far less and is lighter in construction, with no stated steel grade. A forged chef's knife holds an edge longer and is more comfortable for long sessions.
When is the price lowest?
The best new price seen is $24.99 at Best Buy as of November 5, 2026, with two stores listing it new. Compare both stores before buying.
Where is the Oster Eddington 2 Piece Stainless Steel Santoku Knife Set with Ridged Handles cheapest?
At Best Buy, for $24.99, as of our latest check.
