Is the Paddsun 12 in. chainsaw worth it?

For light limbing, storm cleanup and small firewood, yes if the price is low. For regular felling or thick logs, a larger 40cc-class saw is a better buy.

What fuel mix does it need?

Two-stroke gas saws of this size typically run a 40:1 to 50:1 gas-to-oil mix. Check the manual for the exact ratio before the first tank.

What chain and bar does it take?

It uses a 12-inch bar with 3/8-inch low-profile pitch and 0.050-inch gauge chain. Buy replacement loops with those exact numbers.

How does it compare with a battery chainsaw?

It runs as long as you have fuel and cuts with more torque than small battery saws, but it is louder, heavier to maintain and needs mixed gas.

Listings for this saw include the power unit, 12-inch bar and chain. Confirm whether a bar scabbard and tool kit are included before ordering.
