Is a 58 cc saw too much for occasional yard work?

For light limbing and small branches, yes. A 58 cc saw is heavy and loud for that. It makes sense if you regularly cut firewood or fell medium trees.

What size wood can a 22-inch bar cut?

A 22-inch bar cuts through trunks roughly 18 to 20 inches across from one side. Larger trunks need a two-sided cut.

What fuel mix does it need?

Most 58 cc two-stroke saws run on a 50:1 gas-to-oil mix with fresh unleaded fuel. Confirm the ratio in the manual before the first tank.

How does it compare with a battery chainsaw?

It has more sustained power and no recharge time, but it is heavier, louder and needs fuel mixing and engine maintenance. A battery saw is simpler for light yard work.

What comes in the box?

Typically the powerhead, bar, chain, bar cover and a tool kit. Confirm the included bar and chain and whether chain oil is included before ordering.

When is the price lowest?

Gas chainsaws often drop in late fall and winter, outside the spring and summer cutting season. Check the price history for this model's lows.

Our take on the PEXCHO 58cc 22 in. Gas Chainsaw

The PEXCHO is a gas chainsaw with a 58 cc two-stroke engine, a 22-inch straight bar and an anti-vibration handle system. It is aimed at felling and bucking medium to large trees and cutting firewood, where a cordless saw would run out of power or battery. Its 3.2 hp engine puts it in the same class as mid-size homeowner and farm saws. No current price was provided, so check the price history before buying.
