Our take on the PayLessHere 3 Inch Gel Memory Foam Mattress Topper

The PayLessHere Gel Memory Foam Mattress Topper is a budget foam topper meant to soften an old mattress and add a cooling gel layer. The listing calls it 3 inches, but the stated spec is 2 inches thick, so expect a thinner pad than the name suggests. It is CertiPUR-US certified and comes in a Full size with a sweater-knit cover. Its 2.5 out of 5 rating from 36 buyers is weak for this category, so check the return policy before ordering.

Questions and answers

Is it really 3 inches thick?
The product name says 3 inches, but the listed spec is 2 inches. Measure it on arrival and return it if it is too thin for you.
Will it keep me cool at night?
The gel infusion may help slightly, but memory foam still traps heat. Hot sleepers should look at a latex or hybrid topper instead.
What size should I order?
This listing is Full size at 80 by 37 inches. Measure your mattress first, since a short fit will slide around.
How do I clean the cover?
Hand wash and line dry flat. Do not machine wash or tumble dry the foam.
Is it worth it over a new mattress?
For a short-term fix on a firm or worn mattress, yes. If your mattress sags badly, a 2-inch topper will not fix it.
What do buyers say about the PayLessHere 3 Inch Gel Memory Foam Mattress Topper?
Rated 2.5 out of 5 from 36 ratings.
