Is this cat house warm enough for winter?

The foam panels and wooden walls slow heat loss, but the house is not heated. Add straw or a self-warming pad and face the door away from prevailing wind for cold nights.

How big is it inside?

It is 30 inches long, 22 inches wide and 29 inches tall across two levels. That suits one average cat or a mother with kittens, not a large multi-cat colony.

Does it come with everything needed to assemble?

The house ships with its panels, roof, hardware and a scratching board. You need a screwdriver and about half an hour; no extra parts are required.

Is $75.99 a good price?

Amazon lists it at $75.99 as of November 4, 2026, and it is the only new price shown. Wooden outdoor cat houses of this size often sell for more, so it is a reasonable entry price, but there is no history to confirm a low.

Can it stay outside in rain and snow?

Yes. The asphalt roof and spruce frame are weather-resistant, and the raised floor keeps the interior off wet ground. Place it on a flat, drained surface and check the roof seal each season.

What is the side escape door for?

It gives the cat a second way out if another animal blocks the main entrance. It also helps you reach inside for cleaning.
