How often should I replace the AWP175 cartridge?

Philips rates it for about 50,000 liters, which works out to roughly 4 months of typical shower use. Replace it sooner if flow drops or chlorine smell returns.

Which shower filters does this cartridge fit?

It is the replacement cartridge for the Philips AWP1775/37 shower filter. It is not a universal cartridge and will not fit other brands' housings.

Does it soften hard water?

No. It reduces chlorine, rust and sediment through KDF media, but it does not remove calcium and magnesium, so it is not a water softener.

Will it lower my shower pressure?

Philips says the filter does not reduce existing water pressure. A clogged cartridge will cut flow, so swap it when pressure drops.

One AWP175 filter cartridge. The shower filter housing and shower head are not included.
