Is the PS5 Slim worth it over the original PS5?

If you don't own a PS5, yes: it is smaller, has a 1TB SSD and runs the same games. If you already have the original, the gains are modest and not worth upgrading for.

Should I get the disc version or the Digital Edition?

Get the disc version if you buy physical games, borrow discs or watch 4K Blu-rays. The Digital Edition is cheaper and slimmer but locks you to downloads and needs an add-on drive for discs.

How much storage does it have, and can I expand it?

It has a 1TB SSD, up from 825GB on the launch model. You can add an M.2 NVMe SSD for more space.

Does it play all PS4 games?

Most PS4 games run on it through backward compatibility, though a small number have issues. Check the specific title if it matters to you.

The console, one DualSense controller, an HDMI cable, a power cable and a stand. The disc version includes the Blu-ray drive.

Our take on the PlayStation 5 Slim

The PlayStation 5 Slim is Sony's smaller, lighter revision of the PS5, with the same custom AMD Zen 2 CPU and RDNA 2 graphics, 4K output at up to 120Hz, and a 1TB SSD. The disc version keeps a Blu-ray drive, so you can play physical games and 4K discs; a Digital Edition drops the drive. It is the standard pick for anyone who wants Sony's exclusives and the DualSense controller's haptics and adaptive triggers.
