Is the Presto 02815 worth it?

If you want a stainless percolator that serves without a cord, yes. At $93.59 at Kohl's as of November 6, 2026, it is at the low end of its recent range. Skip it if you want programmable brewing or paper-filtered coffee.

How is it different from a drip coffee maker?

It percolates: water cycles repeatedly through the grounds, which gives a stronger, hotter cup but can turn bitter if it keeps cycling. Drip makers brew once through a paper filter and leave less sediment.

How many cups does it brew?

It brews anywhere from 2 to 12 cups, so you can make a small batch or fill the 12-cup carafe for guests.

Can I put the pot in the dishwasher?

The carafe, perk tube, grounds basket and lid are dishwasher safe. The corded base should be wiped clean, not immersed.

Does it keep coffee warm?

Yes. It keeps coffee hot automatically after brewing, and a light signals when it is ready. There is no separate temperature setting.

Percolators usually dip around Black Friday and holiday sales. The current $93.59 at Kohl's is already near the bottom of its recent range.
