Our take on the Puffy Lux Mattress

The Puffy Lux is a 12-inch hybrid mattress sold in six sizes, from Twin to California King. Puffy markets it as a medium-plush bed with a gel-infused memory foam top over a coil base, aimed at side and combination sleepers. The best new price is $1,549.99 for a Queen at The Mattress Bros as of November 4, 2026, and only one store currently lists it new. Puffy runs frequent site-wide sales, so that price can move well below list during promotions.

Best forSide sleepers who want pressure relief at the shoulder and hipCouples who want motion isolation from the foam topShoppers who prefer a medium-plush feel over a firm bedBack and stomach sleepers of lighter build
Pros
  • Gel-infused foam top sleeps cooler than plain memory foam
  • Coil base gives more bounce and edge support than an all-foam bed
  • 12-inch profile fits standard sheets and most frames
  • Six sizes, including Twin XL and California King
  • Backed by a lifetime warranty and a 101-night trial
Cons
  • Medium-plush feel is too soft for many heavier back and stomach sleepers
  • Only one store lists it new, so price comparison is thin
  • List price is high for a bed-in-a-box hybrid
  • Foam edge can feel soft when sitting on the side
  • No flip or rotation handle; it is heavy to move alone

Questions and answers

Is the Puffy Lux worth $1,549.99?
At $1,549.99 for a Queen at The Mattress Bros as of November 4, 2026, it is priced like a premium hybrid. It is worth it if you want a plush, pressure-relieving feel and a coil base; firmness-seeking sleepers can spend less.
How does the Puffy Lux differ from the original Puffy?
The Lux is thicker and adds a coil layer plus a plush Euro top, so it feels softer and more supportive than the all-foam original. The original is firmer and cheaper.
Is the Puffy Lux good for side sleepers?
Yes. The medium-plush foam top cushions the shoulder and hip, which is where side sleepers feel pressure most. Heavier side sleepers may want a firmer model.
Does the Puffy Lux sleep hot?
The gel-infused foam and coil layer help airflow, and most owners find it temperature-neutral. Some report it sleeps warmer than a traditional innerspring.
What sizes does the Puffy Lux come in?
Twin, Twin XL, Full, Queen, King and California King. The Queen measures 80 inches long and 60 inches wide.
