Our take on the Puleo 21" Lockable Artificial Tree Stand for up to 8' Trees

The Puleo 21" Lockable Artificial Tree Stand is a metal base for large artificial Christmas trees up to 8 feet tall. It holds up to 150-160 lbs and has a lockable caster mechanism so the tree rolls into place and then stays put. The 21-inch footprint gives a wide, stable base for heavier trees. At $36.99 at Michaels Stores as of November 5, 2026, it is the only new price listed, so there is no recent range to compare against.

Questions and answers

Will it hold an 8-foot artificial tree?
Yes. Puleo rates it for trees up to 8 feet and up to 150-160 lbs, which covers most full 8-foot artificial trees.
How wide is the stand?
The base is 21 inches across. That is wider than many basic stands, which helps with tall or top-heavy trees.
Do the wheels lock?
Yes. The casters have a lockable mechanism so the tree can be rolled into place and then locked.
What trunk size fits?
The listing gives a maximum trunk diameter of 80 inches, which is far larger than any artificial tree trunk, so fit is not a concern.
Is it only for Christmas trees?
It is designed for artificial Christmas trees, but any artificial tree with a pole trunk up to 8 feet and 150-160 lbs can use it.
When is it cheapest?
Only one new price is listed: $36.99 at Michaels Stores as of November 5, 2026. Tree stands usually drop in price during pre-season and post-holiday sales.
Where is the Puleo 21" Lockable Artificial Tree Stand for up to 8' Trees cheapest?
At Michaels Stores, for $36.99, as of our latest check.
