Is $1,799 a good price for this mattress?

It is the only new price listed, at Amazon as of November 5, 2026, so there is no lower new price to compare it with. Solid organic latex beds from other brands often cost more in Queen and King, so it sits at the low end for the category.

How firm is the Firm versus the Medium?

The Firm is aimed at stomach and back sleepers who want a flat, supportive surface. The Medium softens the top feel for side and combination sleepers. Both use the same solid latex core.

Do I need a box spring?

No. It is designed for platforms and bed frames, and a slatted platform with close-spaced slats gives latex the support it needs. A box spring adds height but is not required.

Can I wash the cover?

The cover is removable and zippered, but it is hand wash only. Spot clean it and air it out rather than putting it in a machine.

How heavy is it to move?

A Queen Medium is 125 lbs and a King Firm is 185 lbs. Plan for two people and a delivery that gets it to the room you want.

Does it contain wool?

Yes. The cover uses organic New Zealand wool along with organic cotton, so it is not suitable for anyone avoiding animal products.
