Benefits of the PuroAir HVAC Mega Filter
Activated Carbon Layer: The heart of the filter is its activated carbon material, which has a highly porous surface that purifies odors 1 and gases. This makes it an effective barrier against smoke 4 , cooking odors 1 , pet smells, and other household or environmental pollutants.
MERV 13 Layer: The MERV 13 rated filter layer blocks fine air particles down to 1 micron 7 .
Pre-filter Layer: Filters larger visible air pollutants like dust 3 , pollen 4 , pet hair, and more.
Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs 5 ): Activated carbon is particularly adept at adsorbing VOCs 5 , which are chemicals emitted from paints, cleaning supplies, and other household products. 5 Reducing VOCs 5 helps create a healthier indoor air environment by minimizing exposure to potentially harmful substances.
Odor: One of the most notable benefits of carbon-activated PuroAir Mega HVAC Filters is their ability to reduce stubborn odors 1 , such as those caused by cooking, pet dander 4 , mold 4 , and smoke 4 . This can significantly improve the comfort and freshness of indoor spaces. 7
Ideal for Sensitive Environments: These home air filters are ideal for households with allergy sufferers, asthma patients, or individuals sensitive to air quality. They are also highly effective in environments like offices, and restaurants, where air purity is essential.
Designed for Effective Airflow: When properly sized, installed, and used in a compatible HVAC system, the PuroAir HVAC Mega Filter is designed to support effective filtration and airflow. Actual performance may vary depending on the HVAC system, operating conditions, filter condition, and maintenance. Confirm that your system supports MERV 13 filtration before use.
