Our take on the Qualler Beige Twin Upholstered Daybed with Tufted Button

The Qualler Beige Twin Upholstered Daybed is a wood-framed twin bed wrapped in beige velvet with button tufting, built-in slats and a backrest and arms so it doubles as seating. It measures about 80.7 in wide by 45.6 in deep, so it needs a long wall or open floor space. The frame is rated for 250 lb. It suits a guest room, home office or teen room more than a main bedroom.

Best forGuest rooms and spare bedroomsHome offices that need occasional sleeping spaceTeen and kids' roomsSmall apartments where a sofa and bed share one room
Pros
  • Backrest and arms make it usable as a sofa by day
  • Slats are included, so no box spring is needed
  • Velvet upholstery and button tufting give a finished look
  • Wood frame with a stated 250 lb weight capacity
  • Neutral beige fits most room palettes
Cons
  • 250 lb capacity is low for an adult bed
  • 80.7 in width is long for a twin and limits wall placement
  • Velvet shows lint, pet hair and spills
  • Tufted buttons collect dust and are hard to clean around
  • Twin size only; no full or queen option

Questions and answers

Does it need a box spring?
No. The frame includes slats, so a twin mattress sits directly on them. A box spring would add height you probably don't need.
What mattress size fits?
A standard twin mattress, about 38 by 75 in. The frame is 80.7 in wide, so there is a little room around the mattress.
Can two adults sit on it?
Yes for sitting, but the frame is rated for 250 lb total. Keep that limit in mind for sleeping adults.
Is assembly required?
Yes. It ships flat and needs to be assembled, and the wide frame means two people make it easier.
Is the velvet easy to clean?
Spot clean with a soft cloth and mild soap. Vacuum the tufted buttons regularly, since dust and pet hair settle in the folds.
How much floor space does it take?
About 80.7 in along the wall and 45.6 in out into the room. Measure the wall before buying.
