Questions and answers

Is $35.99 a good price for these walkie talkies?
Walmart lists them at $35.99 as of November 4, 2026, and no other store prices them new. With a single seller there is no discount history to judge against, so compare against similar rechargeable pairs before buying.
What range can I expect?
The listing names open water, mountain-to-valley and neighborhood as range environments. Real range in woods or between buildings will be far shorter than open-water line of sight.
How do they charge?
They use a rechargeable Li-Polymer battery charged over USB. No wall adapter is listed, so plan on a USB source.
What comes in the box?
The listed accessory is an earpiece with an inline microphone. Check the listing for the radio count before ordering if you need a pair.
Do they work with other walkie talkies?
They use 83 DCS codes for privacy, which is a common sub-code system. Compatibility depends on the main channels, which the listing does not state.
Are they good for weather alerts?
Yes, they receive all-hazards weather channels and weather alerts. That suits hikers and boaters who want storm warnings.
