Our take on the Retevis RT68 Walkie Talkies, Two Way Radios with Earpieces(10 Pack)

The Retevis RT68 is a 10-pack of basic FRS two-way radios with earpieces, aimed at teams that need cheap, simple handhelds. Each radio runs 2W on 16 channels with CTCSS/DCS privacy codes, a 1200mAh battery rated for about 8-12 hours, and USB-C charging. There is no display, so channels are set by a knob and voice prompt. Questions and answers

Is the Retevis RT68 worth it for a small team?
At $179.99 for ten radios at Amazon as of November 4, 2026, it is a low-cost way to equip a crew. It suits short-range indoor work; for long range or heavy daily use, spend more on a higher-power model.
How far do these radios reach?
They are 2W FRS radios, so expect about a mile in open areas and much less inside buildings. Range drops sharply through concrete walls and between floors.
Do I need a license to use them?
No. FRS radios in the US do not require a license, and the RT68 is preset to FRS channels.
How long does the battery last?
Retevis rates it at about 8-12 hours, which holds for light use. Constant transmitting will drain the 1200mAh battery faster, so plan a recharge mid-shift.
What is in the 10-pack box?
Ten RT68 radios, ten earpieces, and charging cables. Check the listing for belt clips and a multi-port charger, since bundle contents vary.
Can I use them with other FRS radios?
Yes, as long as the other radios are on the same FRS channel and matching CTCSS/DCS code. Set the code the same on both or you will hear nothing.
Where is the Retevis RT68 Walkie Talkies, Two Way Radios with Earpieces(10 Pack) cheapest?
At Amazon, for $179.99, as of our latest check.
