Our take on the Ring 2K Battery Doorbell

The Ring 2K Battery Doorbell is Ring's 2026 battery-powered video doorbell, sold in finishes including Speckled White, Speckled Gray, Matte Mocha and plain White. It records in 2K resolution, runs on batteries so no doorbell wiring is needed, and works with Amazon Alexa. Ring doorbells are widely discounted around Prime Day, Black Friday and the holidays, so the current price is worth checking against its recent range before buying.

Questions and answers

Is the 2K Battery Doorbell worth it over a 1080p Ring?
Yes if you want sharper detail for faces and packages. The 2K sensor is the main upgrade, and the rest of the experience is the same Ring app and Alexa integration.
How long does the battery last?
Ring rates battery doorbells for months per charge under normal use. Heavy motion traffic and cold weather shorten that, so many owners keep a spare battery pack.
Do I need a subscription?
No for live view and alerts. A Ring Home plan is needed to save and review recordings, and it unlocks richer features.
Does it work with Alexa?
Yes. You can get announcements and live video on Echo Show and Fire TV devices, and answer the door with two-way talk.
What's in the box?
Typically the doorbell, a battery pack, mounting bracket and hardware, and charging cable. Check the listing for the exact bundle.
When is it cheapest?
Ring discounts heavily around Prime Day, Black Friday and the holidays. Watch the price history and buy when it dips below its usual range.
