Is this rug actually machine washable?

Yes. The cover detaches from the pad and goes in a home washing machine; Ruggable recommends a cold wash and air or low-heat drying. The pad itself is spot cleaned, not washed.

Does it come with the nonslip pad?

It depends on the listing. Ruggable sells covers and pads separately, so check whether the price includes the pad. Without the pad the cover has no grip.

What size is it, and what rooms does it fit?

It is 60 x 90 cm, roughly 2 x 3 ft. That suits a doorway, kitchen sink area, bathroom or small entry, not a living room.

Is it good with pets and kids?

The flat polyester pile traps less dirt and hair than a shag, and the cover can be washed after accidents. It is thin, though, so it offers little cushion for falls.

How does it compare with Ruggable's standard rugs?

It uses the same cover-and-pad system and flatweave construction; the difference is the seasonal holiday pattern and the small size. Standard patterns are more likely to stay in stock and go on sale.

Holiday patterns usually get marked down after the season, and Ruggable runs sitewide sales around major holidays. Buy off-season if you can wait.

Our take on the Ruggable Holiday Collection Washable Rug

This is a 60 x 90 cm (about 2 x 3 ft) flatwoven polyester accent rug from Ruggable's Holiday Collection, in a vintage-inspired pattern. It uses Ruggable's two-piece system: a thin rug cover that Velcros onto a separate nonslip rug pad, so the cover can go in a home washing machine. The small size suits doorways, kitchens, bathrooms and entry spots, and the flat pile is aimed at homes with kids and pets. It is a seasonal accent piece, so expect limited restocks and less discounting than Ruggable's core patterns.
