Our take on the Rugs USA Nepenthe Checked Wool Area Rug

The Nepenthe is a handmade, hand-tufted wool rug in a checked contemporary pattern, sized 5 by 8 feet (60 by 96 inches). Its cut-and-loop pile is low at 0.24 inches, so doors clear it and chairs slide easily. A cotton backing helps keep it from shifting on hard floors. The best new price is $581.99 at Walmart as of November 4, 2026, and it is the only new listing we track, so there is no recent price range to compare against.
