Is the Russell Hobbs RHPK4000 worth it?

At $54.99 at Amazon as of November 4, 2026, you get two electric mills with ceramic burrs, adjustable grind and a light. That is reasonable for a matched pair, but budget for AA batteries, since none are included.

Do the mills come with batteries?

No. Each mill takes 4 AA batteries, so you need 8 in total for the pair. Rechargeable AAs cut the long-term cost.

Can it grind dried herbs and spices?

Yes. Russell Hobbs lists salt, pepper, dried herbs and spices. The ceramic burr handles dried goods well; avoid oily or wet ingredients that clog the mechanism.

How fine can the grind go?

The grind is adjustable from fine to coarse on each mill. Turn the adjustment while the mill is running to avoid jamming the ceramic burr.

Can I wash the mills?

No. The battery compartment and electronics mean you should wipe the stainless steel body with a damp cloth. Empty the chamber and brush the burr instead of rinsing.

When is the price lowest?

Only one new price, $54.99 at Amazon as of November 4, 2026, is listed, so there is no recent range to judge a low point against. Watch for holiday kitchen sales.
