Our take on the RYOBI 8125/6500-Watt Gas Powered Portable Generator With CO Detect Shutdown Sensor

The Ryobi 8125/6500-Watt is a gasoline portable generator with 8,125 starting watts and 6,500 running watts, enough to run a transfer-switch circuit or back up a fridge, furnace blower and lights. It has a 6-gallon tank for up to 10 hours at half load, four GFCI 120V outlets plus a 120/240V 30A twist-lock, and an automatic CO shutoff sensor. It is recoil-start only and weighs 195 lb, so the hand-truck frame and 10-inch wheels matter. The best new price is $750 at eBay as of November 4, 2026, with three stores listing it new.
