Is the Aceup Energy 6500 worth it at $687.99?

At $687.99 at eBay as of November 4, 2026, it undercuts most 5,000W-plus inverter generators from established brands. You trade brand service network and published runtime specs for a lower price.

Can it run an RV air conditioner?

Yes. The 5,200W rated output covers most 13,500 BTU RV air conditioners, and the 6,500W peak absorbs the compressor startup surge. Run the AC alone or with light loads, not with every appliance at once.

Is the power clean enough for electronics?

Yes. It produces a pure sine wave with total harmonic distortion under 3%, which is within the range laptops, phones, tablets and medical equipment expect.

How does the carbon monoxide sensor work?

The built-in sensor monitors CO around the unit and automatically shuts the engine off when levels rise. It is a safety backstop, not a substitute for running the generator outdoors and away from windows.

Does it come with a propane option or electric start?

It is gasoline only, with no propane or dual-fuel kit. Electric start is included, so you don't need to pull-start the 223cc engine.

When is the price lowest?

Generator prices tend to dip outside storm season and around fall clearance. The current $687.99 at eBay is already near the bottom of its recent range, so waiting has limited upside.

Our take on the Aceup Energy 6500 Watt Portable Gas Inverter Generator

The Aceup Energy 6500 is a portable gasoline inverter generator with 6,500 watts peak and 5,200 watts rated output from a 223cc four-stroke engine. It delivers pure sine wave power with under 3% total harmonic distortion, so laptops, phones and medical devices can run on it, and a built-in carbon monoxide sensor shuts the engine off if CO builds up. Electric start and a portable frame make it a whole-home-backup or RV unit rather than a tailgate toy. At $687.99 at eBay as of November 4, 2026, it sits at the low end of its recent price range, with three stores listing it new.
