Safavieh Izmir Hand-Knotted Rug

Our take on the Safavieh Izmir Hand-Knotted Rug

The Safavieh Izmir is a 9-by-12-foot hand-knotted Oriental rug in New Zealand wool, with a flat pile of about a quarter to a half inch. Hand-knotting makes it denser and slower to wear than machine-made rugs, and it suits moderate-traffic rooms like living and dining areas. The best new price is $336.99 at eBay as of November 4, 2026, with three stores listing it new. A hand-knotted wool rug this size at that price is well below what hand-knotted 9x12 rugs usually cost, so check the knot count and return terms before buying.
