Our take on the Rugs USA Speckled Wool-Blend Truffle Brown Indoor Rug 10' x 14'

This is a hand-woven 10' x 14' indoor area rug in truffle brown, made from a wool blend with a medium 0.39-inch pile and no backing. The speckled, tonal pattern is meant to hide traffic marks in a large living or dining room. At $941.63 at Home Depot as of November 4, 2026, it is the only new price we track, so there is no recent range to compare it against.

Best forLarge living rooms and open-plan spacesDining rooms under a 10' x 14' table setupBuyers who want a natural wool lookLow-traffic or adult households
Pros
  • Hand-made woven construction
  • Wool blend is soft and naturally stain-resistant

  • Medium pile is comfortable but not plush
  • Large 10' x 14' size suits big rooms
Cons
  • No backing, so it needs a separate rug pad
  • Spot clean only; not machine washable
  • Wool can shed and pill at first
  • Light tones may show dirt in high-traffic areas
  • Only one new price tracked, so little price competition

Questions and answers

Is this rug worth the price?
At $941.63 at Home Depot as of November 4, 2026, you are paying for a hand-made wool-blend rug in a hard-to-find 10' x 14' size. Comparable hand-woven wool rugs often cost more, but check whether a pad is included, since none is.
Does it need a rug pad?
Yes. It has no backing, so a pad keeps it from sliding and adds cushioning. A low-profile felt pad is enough for medium pile.
Will it shed?
New wool rugs usually shed loose fibers for a few weeks. Vacuum without a beater bar and expect shedding to settle with regular use.
How do I clean it?
Spot clean only. Blot spills with a damp cloth and mild detergent, and vacuum regularly. Do not machine wash or steam clean heavily.
What size is it exactly?
It measures 10'0" x 14'0" (120 by 168 inches), with a 0.39-inch pile and 0.60-inch overall thickness. Measure your room and leave floor border on all sides.
When is it cheapest?
Rugs USA and Home Depot run seasonal rug sales, often around major holidays. With only one new price tracked, watch for markdowns rather than assuming a lower price exists elsewhere.
Where is the Rugs USA Speckled Wool-Blend Truffle Brown Indoor Rug 10' x 14' cheapest?
At Home Depot, for $941.63, as of our latest check.
What do buyers say about the Rugs USA Speckled Wool-Blend Truffle Brown Indoor Rug 10' x 14'?
