Is the Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra worth $1,399.99?

If you want the biggest Samsung tablet screen for drawing, notes, or video, the price buys the 14.6-inch AMOLED panel, S Pen, and top storage and RAM options. If you mostly read or browse in hand, a smaller, lighter tablet does the job for less.

How does it compare with the Tab S11 Ultra?

The S12 Ultra keeps the 14.6-inch AMOLED size but moves to a MediaTek Dimensity 9500 and a thinner 5.1 mm body. The S11 Ultra used a Snapdragon chip, so check benchmarks for the apps you rely on before upgrading.

How long does the battery last?

Samsung rates it at 23 hours, and the 11,600 mAh cell should cover a full day of mixed use. Charging tops out at 45W, so a full charge takes well over an hour.

Does it come with the S Pen?

Yes, the S Pen is included. There is no slot inside the body, so it attaches magnetically to the back or top edge.

Is the 14.6-inch screen too big to carry?

At 326 mm wide and 692 grams it is closer to a laptop than a handheld tablet. It suits a desk, a couch, or a bag with a sleeve, not one-handed use on a commute.

When is it likely to be cheapest?

It launched at $1,399.99 and has not been discounted in the price history so far. Samsung tablet discounts usually appear around Black Friday and back-to-school season.

Our take on the Samsung Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra

The Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra is Samsung's largest tablet, a 14.6-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X slate with a 2960 x 1848 resolution, 120Hz refresh, and 1,600-nit peak brightness. It runs a MediaTek Dimensity 9500 with up to 16GB RAM and 1TB storage, packs an 11,600 mAh battery rated for 23 hours, and includes the S Pen. It is thin at 5.1 mm but heavy at 692 grams. The 256GB/12GB model is $1,399.99 at Samsung as of November 4, 2026, and that is the only new price recorded so far, so there is no discount history to judge against yet.
