Is the Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra worth it over the Tab S8 or S8+?

If you want the biggest AMOLED screen and a laptop-like DeX experience, the Ultra is the pick. The S8 and S8+ are lighter and cheaper but have smaller 11-inch and 12.4-inch screens.

Does the S Pen come in the box?

Yes. The S Pen is included and attaches magnetically to the back of the tablet for charging and storage.

Can I add more storage?

Yes. The 512 GB model has a microSD slot that accepts cards up to 1 TB.

How long does the battery last?

Samsung rates the 11,200 mAh battery at around 8 hours of mixed use. Heavy gaming or long video sessions will drain it faster.

Does it work as a laptop replacement?

With DeX mode and an optional keyboard cover it handles documents, browsing and email well. Demanding desktop software still won't run on Android.

Is the keyboard cover included?

No. The Book Cover Keyboard is sold separately, so budget for it if you plan to type a lot.

Our take on the Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra 14.6" 512 GB Wi-Fi Graphite

The Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra is Samsung's 14.6-inch flagship tablet, built around a 2960 x 1848 Super AMOLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate. It runs a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset with 512 GB of storage, expandable by microSD, and ships with the magnetic S Pen. At 5.5 mm thick and about 728 g, it is a laptop-sized tablet that leans on DeX mode for desktop-style work. It is the largest and most expensive slab in the Tab S8 line, so its value depends on whether you need the screen size.
