No. This kit ships without a grate, so you order the KERDI-DRAIN grate separately in the finish you want.

Can I use it for a steam shower?

Yes. Schluter lists it for residential steam showers as well as standard tiled showers, installed per the Shower System Installation Handbook.

What drain line does it connect to?

The ABS flange solvent-cements to a 2 inch ABS waste line. Check your plumbing material before ordering.

Does the tray need mortar underneath?

Yes. The pre-sloped EPS tray is bonded to a level, solid substrate with thin-set, and the floor must be flat and structurally sound.

Is an off-set drain version available?

The off-set outlet is offered only on the 38 x 60 size. This 48 x 60 kit uses a center outlet.

A complete bonded waterproofing kit for a 48 x 60 inch tiled shower, built around a pre-sloped EPS foam tray and the KERDI-DRAIN flange. It includes KERDI membrane, KERDI-BAND seam strip, preformed corners, pipe and mixing-valve seals, and KERDI-BOARD curbs. The drain grate is not included and must be ordered separately. It suits residential tiled showers and steam showers installed per the Schluter handbook.
