Questions and answers

Is this mattress good for side sleepers?
Usually not. The firm tight top gives little cushioning at the shoulders and hips, so most side sleepers do better on a medium or plush model. Back and stomach sleepers tend to prefer this feel.
How firm is the Serta Classic Exclusive 13"?
It is a true firm: a tight-top innerspring with gel foam on top and minimal sink. If you like a soft, hugging bed, this is not it.
Does it come with the box spring?
Yes. The set includes one mattress and one box spring. Check the total height against your frame and sheets, since the mattress alone is 13 inches.
What is the weight limit?
The listed maximum weight limit is 850 lbs for the mattress. That is high for an innerspring and suits heavier sleepers or couples.
When is the best time to buy it?
Mattress prices move around holiday sales and clearance events. The $649 at JCPenney as of November 3 is at the low end of its recent range, so it is a reasonable time to buy.
How do I clean it?
Spot clean only. Use a mattress protector, since the cover is not removable or machine washable.
