Is the Serta Haddington good for sleeping every night?

No. It is a convertible loveseat with a fold-flat sleeper, suited to occasional guests. For nightly sleeping, a real mattress is better.

How big is the bed when it folds out?

It opens to a full-size sleeper. The seat is 54 inches wide, so expect a full-size footprint rather than a queen.

Can I remove the covers to wash them?

The back cushions are removable. The seat cushion is attached and cannot be taken off, so spot clean the seat.

Does it hold two adults?

Yes. The 500 lb weight capacity covers two average adults with room to spare. Check the 54-inch seat width if you want more spread.

What is the frame made of?

A wood frame with high-density foam and pocket coil cushion fill, upholstered in textured polyester.

When is the best time to buy it?

Convertible sofas usually see the deepest discounts around Black Friday and Memorial Day sales. Compare the current price against its recent range before buying.

Our take on the Serta Haddington Convertible Loveseat

The Serta Haddington is a two-seat sofa that folds flat into a full-size sleeper, so it works as everyday seating and a guest bed in one piece. It has a wood frame, textured polyester upholstery, tufted cushion-back styling and square arms, with a 500 lb weight capacity. The seat is 54 inches wide and 26 inches deep, and the back cushions come off for cleaning. It is a mid-priced convertible loveseat rather than a dedicated sofa or a true innerspring mattress bed.
