Our take on the Shaw 5680V Obelisk Glue Down Embossed Vinyl Flooring, 12" x 24"

The Shaw 5680V Obelisk is a 12" x 24" glue-down vinyl tile, 2.5 mm thick, with an embossed surface and a waterproof core. It is built for commercial floors and other high-traffic spaces where a thin, glued tile holds up better than a floating plank. The best new price is $128.32 at eBay as of November 4, 2026, with only 2 stores listing it new, so comparison shopping is limited.

Best forCommercial and retail floorsHigh-traffic rooms that see moistureDIYers comfortable with adhesive installsBuyers wanting a thin tile over a solid subfloor
Pros
  • Waterproof core suits kitchens, baths and utility areas
  • Glue-down install keeps tiles flat and quiet underfoot
  • 2.5 mm profile sits low against existing floors
  • Embossed finish adds texture and hides scuffs
  • 12" x 24" format covers area with fewer seams
Cons
  • Glue-down needs a clean, flat subfloor and adhesive work
  • Thin 2.5 mm layer feels harder and less forgiving than thick planks
  • Only 2 stores list it new, so price options are narrow
  • Not a click-together product; removal later is more work

Questions and answers

Is glue-down vinyl better than click vinyl for a commercial space?
For commercial floors, glue-down is usually the sturdier choice. The adhesive holds tiles flat and limits movement under heavy traffic, while click floors can shift at the seams.
Can this be installed over concrete?
Yes, glue-down vinyl is commonly bonded to concrete. The slab must be clean, dry and flat, and you should check the moisture level before gluing.
Is it really waterproof?
The vinyl itself is waterproof, so spills and wet mopping won't damage it. Water can still get under the edges if the adhesive or seams fail, so a proper install matters.
How much area does one tile cover?
Each 12" x 24" tile covers 2 square feet. Divide your room's square footage by 2 and add about 10 percent for cuts and waste.
Is $128.32 a good price?
It is the best new price found as of November 4, 2026, at eBay. With only 2 stores listing it new, there is little to compare against, so check the per-square-foot cost and shipping before buying.
Does it need a underlayment?
No underlayment is used with glue-down vinyl. The adhesive bonds directly to a prepared subfloor, which keeps the floor low-profile.
Where is the Shaw 5680V Obelisk Glue Down Embossed Vinyl Flooring, 12" x 24" cheapest?
At eBay, for $128.32, as of our latest check.
Where can I buy the Shaw 5680V Obelisk Glue Down Embossed Vinyl Flooring, 12" x 24"?
