Questions and answers

Is Shaw Uptown Now 20 worth it?
It is a budget glue-down vinyl that is waterproof and thin. It suits small wet rooms where a low-profile floor matters more than thickness or easy removal.
How is it installed?
It is a glue-down plank, so it needs adhesive and a flat, clean subfloor. That is more work than a click-lock floor and usually calls for a pro in bathrooms.
Is it really waterproof?
Shaw lists water protection for this plank, so surface spills are fine in kitchens and baths. Standing water at seams and edges still needs wiping up.
How thick is it, and does that matter?
It is 3 mm thick, which is thin for vinyl plank. It keeps floor height low but shows subfloor imperfections more than thicker planks.
Where is the best price?
Floors Center lists it at $133.09 as of November 4, 2026, the best new price among two stores. Check the price per square foot before comparing.
Can it go over existing tile?
Glue-down vinyl can go over sound, flat tile if the surface is prepared and the grout lines are filled. Check Shaw's install instructions for your subfloor first.
Where is the Shaw Uptown Now 20 Luxury Vinyl Plank cheapest?
At Floors Center, for $133.09, as of our latest check.
Where can I buy the Shaw Uptown Now 20 Luxury Vinyl Plank?
