Is the Wraith Mini worth it?

For hunters who want thermal under the premium 640-sensor price bracket, yes. It gives usable detection and identification at close to mid range. If you need fine detail past 300 yards, a 640-resolution scope is the better buy.

How far can it detect and identify game?

Sightmark rates detection at up to 1,400 yards. Recognition and positive identification come at much shorter distances, roughly a few hundred yards, and depend on conditions and the target's size.

How long does the battery last?

Up to 4.4 hours on two CR123 batteries. Runtime drops in cold weather and at high brightness, so carry spares for a full night hunt.

The scope, mount, eyecup, and user documentation are typical. Check the listing for included batteries and cables, since bundles vary.

Does it record video?

It has a microSD slot that accepts cards up to 256GB for capturing images and video. Recording drains the battery faster, so plan for extra cells.

Thermal optics tend to discount around fall hunting season and major sales events. Watch the price history and buy when it dips below its recent range.
