Our take on the Signstek Touchscreen Keypad Door Lock with Door Handle

The Signstek ST668 is a zinc-bodied keypad door handle that replaces a standard lever with a touchscreen keypad, so you can unlock with a code instead of a key. It has an anti-peep entry mode, a waterproof rating for outdoor doors, and comes in silver, matte black and satin nickel. It is a standalone lock, not an app- or Wi-Fi-connected deadbolt. The best new price is $55.95 at Fishpond.com as of November 4, 2026, and 4 stores list it new.

Best forRental units and short-stay doors where keys get lostFront or back doors that need a keyless leverBudget buyers who want a code lock without an appHouseholds that want a simple guest code
Pros
  • Keyless touchscreen entry with programmable codes
  • Anti-peep mode hides the code from onlookers
  • Zinc body and lever feel sturdier than plastic keypad locks
  • Waterproof function suits exposed exterior doors
  • Three finishes match most door hardware
  • Simple install with latch, strike and mounting plate included
Cons
  • No app, Wi-Fi or remote unlock; codes are set at the keypad
  • Not a deadbolt, so it offers less forced-entry resistance than a keypad deadbolt
  • Needs a hex screwdriver for installation
  • No auto-lock or scheduling unless the model supports it
  • Battery life and low-battery warning are not documented in the listing

Questions and answers

Is the Signstek ST668 worth it?
At $55.95 at Fishpond.com as of November 4, 2026, it is a cheap way to go keyless on a lever door. If you need app control, remote access or deadbolt security, spend more on a connected keypad deadbolt instead.
Does it work with a phone app or Wi-Fi?
No. The listing marks it as smart connectivity, but the features are keypad codes and anti-peep entry, not app or Wi-Fi control. Codes are programmed at the lock.
Can I use it on an outdoor gate or shed?
It is rated with a waterproof function, so it is meant for doors exposed to weather. Check that your door thickness and backset match the included latch before buying.
What is in the box?
The box includes the lock and lever, latch, strike, mounting plate and installation instructions. You need a hex screwdriver, which is not listed as included.
Is it a deadbolt?
No. It is a keypad door handle with a latch, not a deadbolt. For an exterior front door, many buyers pair a keypad lever with a separate deadbolt.
When is it cheapest?
The lowest new price seen is $55.95 at Fishpond.com as of November 4, 2026. With only 4 stores listing it, compare all of them before buying.
