Is the LK150 worth it for a beginner?

Yes, if you want a mid-gauge machine for simple flat knitting. It is one of the most forgiving entry machines, and the $485.43 Amazon price as of November 4, 2026 is at the low end of its recent range.

What yarn weight does the LK150 use?

The 6.5 mm needles suit DK to worsted weight yarns. Fingering yarns knit loose and bulky yarns strain the carriage.

Can I do color work on the LK150?

Yes, with the AG11 intarsia carriage, which the machine supports. Without it, patterning is limited to manual stitch selection.

How wide is the LK150?

The bed knits up to 38 inches wide, and the machine is about 1.4 m long overall. You need a table at least that long.

Does the LK150 come with a pattern book?

It ships set up for plain knitting, and patterns are selected manually. Expect to buy or download pattern books separately.

When is the LK150 cheapest?

Prices vary by store; the $485.43 Amazon price as of November 4, 2026 is near the bottom of its recent range. Compare all three stores before buying.
