Questions and answers

Is the Simenmax ice maker worth it?
At $42.99 at Walmart as of November 3, 2026, it is a low-cost way to get bullet ice without freezer trays. If you need large, clear, slow-melting cubes, spend more on a bigger machine.
How much ice does it make?
Simenmax rates it at up to 26 lb per day. Real output is lower in warm rooms and depends on how often you empty the basket.
How big is it?
It is 8.9 in wide and 11.4 in high, so it fits on most counters and under some cabinets. Check clearance above it for opening the lid.
Does it need a water line?
No. You fill the built-in tank by hand and empty the melt water, so it works anywhere with a 115-volt outlet.
What kind of ice does it make?
It makes small bullet-shaped ice, the same style as most countertop makers. That ice cools drinks fast but melts sooner than freezer cubes.
