Our take on the Sixhome 5'x7' Area Rug for Living Room, Modern Abstract Machine Washable Distressed Rug, Navy

The Sixhome 5'x7' area rug is a machine-washable polyester rug in a navy abstract gradient design with a distressed, modern look. It has a TPR non-slip rubber backing, is stain- and fade-resistant, and does not shed. The 5'x7' size fits living rooms, bedrooms and dining areas. It is a budget-priced washable rug, so expect a thinner pile than a wool or hand-knotted rug.

Questions and answers

Is this rug really machine washable?
Yes. Sixhome lists it as machine washable. A 5'x7' rug is large, so check your washer's drum capacity first; a commercial or oversized machine may be needed.
Does it need a rug pad?
No. It has a TPR non-slip rubber backing that grips hard floors. A pad is only useful if you want extra cushioning.
Will it shed or fade?
Sixhome says the polyester is non-shedding and fade-resistant. Keep it out of direct sun for long periods to slow any color change.
What sizes and colors does it come in?
This listing is the 5'x7' rectangle in navy. Sixhome sells the same abstract design in other sizes and colorways, so check the brand's other listings if you need a runner or a larger rug.
Is it good for homes with pets?
The stain-resistant, non-shedding surface and washability suit pet households. Thin pile means less trapping of hair, but heavy scratching can still pull fibers.
When is the price lowest?
Washable rugs like this one tend to drop during back-to-school, Black Friday and spring home sales. Check the price history before buying.
